On March 10th, the Calgary Women Fly Fishers Club had an enlightening evening with Andrew Mysyk from Temple Fork Outfitters during our "Anatomy of a Fly Rod" session. Andrew expertly walked us through the key components of a fly rod, explaining how each part affects casting and fish fighting performance. Whether you’re selecting your first rod or upgrading your gear, this session provided valuable insights into making informed decisions. On Thursday, January 23rd, the Calgary Women Fly Fishers Club had an incredible evening of learning and camaraderie at our Fly Tying Night with Silvia D’Amelio. Silvia not only shared expert fly tying instruction on chironomids but also provided valuable insights on how to fish them effectively. We were especially thrilled to welcome so many novice fly tyers to this event!
