Exclusive Access to Monthly Meetings
Our members enjoy monthly meetings from September through May, where we host guest speakers and hands-on activities like fly tying. These sessions are an excellent opportunity to learn from experts, share experiences with fellow anglers, and improve your skills.
Educational Workshops and Presentations
Throughout the year, we cover a range of educational topics tailored to enhance your fly fishing knowledge, such as:
- Entomology: Learn about the insects that are essential to successful fly fishing.

Club-Sponsored Fishing Trips & Events

- Fishing Campouts: Join us for campouts in July and August, where we explore new fishing spots and enjoy the outdoors together.
- Alpine Lake Hike & Fish: Experience the beauty of Alberta’s mountains while fishing at serene alpine lakes.
- Fall Stillwater Fishing: A great way to wrap up the fishing season with stillwater fishing in the fall.
Holiday & Social Events
- Fall Pub Night: Meet and mingle with fellow members at our Fall Pub Night—a great way to relax, share stories, and connect over a drink.
- Christmas Social: Celebrate the season with a festive gathering where you can enjoy the company of other club members in a warm, holiday atmosphere.
Exclusive Discounts & Fly Fishing Instruction
As a member, you’ll enjoy exclusive discounts at local fly shops, helping you save on the gear and equipment you need to make the most of your fishing adventures. You’ll also have access to discounted fly fishing instruction and fly tying classes to improve your skills and gain valuable hands-on experience.
Membership Fees
- Annual Membership Fee: $50 per year.
- Discounted Rate: After September, the membership fee is reduced to $25 for the remainder of the year.
Please note that all CWFF memberships expire on December 31, and membership must be renewed on January 1 for the following year.
