The Calgary Women Fly Fishers Club is committed to promoting the enjoyment of fly fishing for women recreating in Calgary, Alberta, and surrounding areas. We aim to create a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment where women can learn, grow, and connect through the sport of fly fishing. Our mission includes:
- Fostering a strong sense of community by bringing together women of all backgrounds who share a passion for fly fishing. We celebrate the achievements of women in the sport, encourage mutual support, and create a welcoming space where women can learn, grow, and inspire one another on and off the water.
- Offering recreational opportunities and social activities, while raising awareness of responsible fly fishing through example, education, and monthly meetings.
- Supporting conservation efforts by participating in initiatives that protect and rehabilitate fish habitats and riparian areas for future generations.

April Event Recap: 2026 CWFF AGM
Another AGM has come and gone, so we have some hello's and goodbye's to share. We would like to welcome Em Johnson to the Board, taking on the role of Vice President! And while Charissa and Kylee have stepped down, I'm sure it's not the last time we will be seeing them - thanks for all your hard work and all the best in your future endeavors!
We kicked off the AGM with a fantastic presentation called Conservation in Action from Katie Morrison (CPAWS) and Lesley Peterson (Freshwater Conservation Canada). Thank you to both of you for keeping us up to date on what's happening with our beloved waterways and natural areas.

Post-Event Recap: Fish Keychains with Kaith and Charissa!
We had so much fun at our recent Fish Keychain Craft Night! It was so great to see a strong turnout of members coming together to connect, unwind, and try something a little different during this unpredictable spring weather. It was also great to put some new life in old flyline - as the whole group used recylced fly lines for their creations.
